A private curation of place, people, and rhythm in Tuscany.
For those who value depth, slowness, and discernment.
Tuscan Slow Luxury is a private curatorial practice for travellers who want to experience Tuscany beyond the obvious. The idea is simple: to spend your time well.
That may mean meeting someone whose work you would normally see only as a finished object, or discovering a place you would probably never find on your own. Sometimes it simply means leaving enough space in the day to enjoy where you are.
Who I Am
I am Lina Briede, founder of Tuscan Slow Luxury. Originally from Northern Europe, I have lived in Tuscany for many years and made it my home.
My knowledge of the region comes from living here, from experience in hospitality, and from a natural curiosity about the people who make Tuscany what it is.
I work independently and with a small number of guests each year. I listen carefully to what they are looking for, then use my own knowledge and judgement to decide what — and who — might be right for them.
Private Curation
Tuscan Slow Luxury is an independent curatorial service for those who wish to experience Tuscany in a way that feels meaningful, coherent, and unhurried.
It is not trip planning, concierge service, or tourism in the traditional sense. I look for people and places I would want to know myself. A family workshop where the work is still done by hand. A private house with an extraordinary story. A vineyard where the conversation matters as much as the wine. Sometimes the most interesting places are not the most polished ones.
How I Work
Much of my work happens long before a guest contacts me.
I spend a great deal of time visiting places, meeting people and seeing for myself what is actually there. What matters to me is often what you don't see online: how a place feels when you are there, who is behind it, how you are received, and whether I would genuinely want to send someone there.
Most of the places I visit will never become part of my curation. Some may be beautiful or well known, but that alone is not enough.
When I work with you, I draw on all of this, while also looking further when there is something particular I believe would suit you. By the time you arrive in Tuscany, the work is done and the time is yours.
The Process
The conversation
We begin with a private conversation about how you like to travel, what interests you, and what you want from your time in Tuscany.
The curation
I research and select the places, people and experiences I believe are right for you, bringing them together into a considered selection for your stay.
The introductions
Where appropriate, I put you directly in touch with the people and places I have selected. Reservations and payments are made directly between you and the providers.
Your time in Tuscany
Once the curation is complete, it is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
What This Is Not
No ready-made programmes
No commission-driven recommendations
No mass-tourism services
No handling of bookings
Private enquiries
I work with a small number of clients each year, which allows me to give each curation the time it requires.
